About Me

I am a seventeen year old living in Gardner MA. I will turn eighteen on May 21st. I was born here in Gardner and have lived here my whole life so far. Gardner is the smallest city in MA with a population of just over 20,000.

My Mom and Dad are separated and I currently live with my Mom. I have a brother who is nine years older then me. My mom and I live on the upper floor of a house in Gardner. She works full time so I help her walk the dog, cook, shop and keep house.

I am the only member of the Church in my immediate family. My Grandma took me to primary when I was little and I never left. When I was eight I got baptized and the Gardner Ward has been the one stable place where I have grown. Luckily I live just down the street from the ward house so I can walk to and from Church.

I have had lots of experiences that have strengthened my testimony of the church. My first year of seminary really helped me understand what the gospel was about. It changed a lot about the way I lived. It helped me follow the standards because it was something I wanted to do. It also made me think about how I treated others and lived my life. Knowing the members in the Church has helped me know what my potential is and what I want to have for my family. This has led me to seek opportunities that will help me marry in the Temple. I want to tell you about my goals and dreams based on the testimony I have of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. The TRUE Church.

School Stuff

For most of my life I have attended public school. In 2005 I had the opportunity to live with my Dad for a year and a half. He home schooled me and it was a great experience. It was actually the most I ever learned. When I returned to public school my records did not transfer right so I have been held back a little. I should graduate this year but I intend to graduate next year and then attend college. It will be my goal to make sure all of my credits transfer properly to UT.

I like math and science. I love history but I don't like english. I work hard to get good grades A's and B's. For fun I take choir and ceramics. I also participate in the track program. Seminary is my favorite class, it must have to do with the teacher.

I would like to attend High School in UT so I can gain residency. I have known for a while that I want to attend college in UT. Going to a year of high school would prepare me to pursue those educational goals on my own. My family has limited financial resources but they are supportive of me and my goals. I also look forward to the opportunity of being more than one of two LDS students at my school.

Fun Stuff

I love to sew. The first project I did was a form fitting gown for prom. It came out good, surprisingly. Ever since then it is just what I do! I have made several other things like pants, shirts etc. But I really have a passion for dresses. I have made a total of 18 dresses for myself and others. I am currently working on dresses for our Youth Conference trek. My favorite thing to do is start and finish in one night. I call it a "Sewathon". I get to church a little sleepy but I always get there.

I really enjoy track. It is not too competitive of a sport that I can't enjoy it. You still get a lot of team spirit, and I like jumping. We get to make our own sticks to measure our steps and I make mine really cute with sparkles and butterflies. It was a great track activity. Ok seriously, I enjoy competing against myself and beating my personal best.

My church friends are my closest friends. I have lots of acquaintances at school but we are just different people. I have much more in common with my friends from church even though we live mad far away. I still get to see them a lot with church, mutual and the fact that I spend a lot of time at their homes. We plan awesome group dates even though all the girls don't have dates. There are just not enough guys! My best guy friend Oliver is going to be leaving on a mission soon. I have a few friends living in UT right now and I am excited to be sharing the same experience. Several of my friends are planning on coming to college in UT after they graduate.
